Original recipe card for Cream Crullers

Ingredients

  • 6 tablespoons Granulated Sugar
  • 3 tablespoons Thick Cream
  • three Eggs
  • 1/2 teaspoon Baking Powder
  • 1 teaspoon Lemon Extract
  • to mix Flour

Instructions

  1. Mix the sugar and cream together, beat in the eggs, add the lemon extract and the baking powder, sifted with enough flour to make a hard dough.
  2. Turn out on floured board.
  3. Roll as thin as possible, cut in diamond shapes and fry in smoking hot fat.
