Ingredients

  • 1 cup (scant) Butter
  • 3 cups Sugar
  • 1 cup Milk
  • Twelve Eggs
  • 1 cup Corn-starch
  • 3 teaspoons Baking Powder
  • 3 cups Flour
  • 2 teaspoons Vanilla Extract

Instructions

  1. Cream together the butter and sugar, add the milk and the beaten whites of the eggs.
  2. Mix the corn-starch, baking powder and flour, beat all gradually in, and add the flavoring.
  3. Beat thoroughly and bake in tins lined with buttered paper.
  4. Bake in a moderate oven.
  5. Ice while hot with Icing No. 626.
