Original recipe card for Jelly Cake

Ingredients

  • four Eggs
  • 2/3 cup Powdered Sugar
  • 2/3 cup Pastry Flour
  • 1/4 teaspoon Salt
  • 1/2 teaspoon Baking Powder

Instructions

  1. Beat egg yolks and sugar till light.
  2. Add mixed dry ingredients; then stiffly beaten whites.
  3. Mix lightly together.
  4. Bake in thin sheet in quick oven.
  5. As soon as done, turn quickly on a towel wrung out of water, spread with jelly, roll up, and dust with powdered sugar.
