Ingredients

  • Juice of 1 orange
  • Juice of 1/2 lemon
  • 1 cup Sugar
  • Grind yellow rind of orange
  • 1 cup Raisins
  • 1/3 cup Shortening
  • 1 cup Sugar
  • 1 Egg
  • 1/8 teaspoon Salt
  • 1 teaspoon Soda
  • 1 cup Buttermilk or sour milk

Instructions

  1. Mix and add 2 cups flour.
  2. Add ground mixture before adding flour.
  3. Bake in square tins at 350° for 40 minutes.
