Original recipe card for Iced Cocoa

Ingredients

  • 4 cups Milk
  • 3 tablespoons Cocoa
  • 1/4 cup Sugar
  • A few grains Salt
  • 1 teaspoon Vanilla
  • Whipped Cream

Instructions

  1. Scald the milk in a double boiler.
  2. Mix the cocoa, sugar and salt with 1/4 cup of boiling water.
  3. Add to the milk, bring to boiling point.
  4. Let boil 3 minutes.
  5. Cool and set on ice until well chilled.
  6. Serve in tall glasses with the whipped cream, which has been sweetened and flavored with the vanilla.
