Original Recipe Card
Ingredients
- 1 Cupful Chopped Pecans
- 1 Tablespoonful Butter
- 3 Cupfuls Light Brown Sugar
Instructions
- Put the dry sugar into an iron skillet and set on the fire.
- Stir constantly until it melts and browns into caramel.
- Add the butter and put in the pecans.
- Stir briskly, letting the mixture boil several minutes, or until it rolls away from the skillet in stirring.
- Wet a marble slab or bread board till the water stands on it slightly.
- Pour the candy on this and spread out in a thin sheet.
- When cold it will be very brittle and easily removed from the board.
