Original recipe card for Chinese Sweets

Ingredients

  • 1 Cocoanut
  • 1 Cup Sugar

Instructions

  1. Take a fresh cocoanut and cut in strips about two inches long and one-half inch wide.
  2. Make a plain syrup of the sugar and one-half cup of water.
  3. Boil the cocoanut in this syrup until tender, remove from syrup and place on buttered plates.
  4. Let dry in a slow oven and roll in powdered sugar.
