Original recipe card for Nut Crisps

Ingredients

  • 2 Cups Mixed Nuts
  • 1 Pound Granulated Sugar

Instructions

  1. Cover the bottom of a well-buttered pan thickly with mixed nuts or with peanuts.
  2. Melt the sugar in a saucepan, stirring constantly to prevent burning.
  3. When melted, pour at once over the nuts and set away to cool.
  4. Then break into irregular pieces.
  5. If peanuts alone are used, they may first be rolled to a paste, spread on buttered tins and the hot syrup poured over them.
  6. This is delicious.
