Original Recipe Card

Ingredients
- 1/2 lb. Pitted Prunes
- 1/2 lb. Seedless Raisins
- 1/2 lb. Stoned Dates
- 1/2 lb. Figs
- 1 1/2 lbs. Shelled nuts (several kinds)
Instructions
- Put all through a meat grinder, first nuts and then fruit.
- Add the juice of two or three oranges or just enough to moisten it so that it will stick together.
- Spread it on a flat surface as thick as desired and keep for several hours in a cold place.
- Then cut and wrap as caramels.
- I have added just a little salt and think it an improvement.
