Original recipe card for Creamed New Peas

Ingredients

  • 1 quart Green Peas
  • To cover Boiling Water
  • 2 tablespoons Butter
  • 2 cups Milk
  • 2 tablespoons Flour

Instructions

  1. Shell and wash the peas.
  2. Pour over the boiling water, and cook until tender.
  3. Cream the flour and butter.
  4. Pour the water off of the peas and add the milk to them.
  5. Stir in the butter and flour.
  6. Pour in a hot dish and keep in the oven until ready to serve.
