Original Recipe Card

Ingredients
- 1 cup Rice
- 4 quarts Boiling Water
- 1 tablespoon Salt
Instructions
- Wash the rice through several waters, till the water runs off clear.
- Have the boiling water boiling rapidly in a kettle, add the rice and salt.
- Boil at a gallop till rice is tender—this takes from 12 to 20 minutes.
- Drain, set colander over boiling water for 10 minutes or more, to steam.
- Each grain will be distinct, yet tender.
