Original recipe card for Creamed Carrots

Ingredients

  • 2 bunches New Carrots
  • 1 tablespoon Butter
  • 1 tablespoon Sugar
  • 1 teaspoon Flour
  • 2 tablespoons Cream
  • To season Salt and Pepper

Instructions

  1. Scrape the carrots and put in a small sauce-pan; add the butter, the salt, sugar and pepper.
  2. Cover with boiling water; let simmer gently for 40 minutes.
  3. Add the flour, mixed smooth in a little cold water; when it reboils, add the cream and serve hot.
