Original Recipe Card

Ingredients
- 1 pint Dried Peas
- 2 quarts Cold Water
- One Onion
- 2 teaspoons Butter
- 2 teaspoons Flour
Instructions
- Soak the peas over-night.
- Next morning, drain, measure and add cold water and onion.
- Simmer slowly till soft.
- Rub through a sieve.
- Return to fire, season with salt and pepper; thicken with butter and flour.
- Boil up again for a few minutes.
