Original Recipe Card

Ingredients
- 1 can Tomatoes
- 1 pint Water
- 1 teaspoon Salt
- 1 tablespoon Sugar
- Five Cloves
- 1/2 teaspoon Peppercorns
- 1 tablespoon Chopped Onion
- 1 tablespoon Chopped Parsley
- 1 tablespoon Butter
- 1 tablespoon Flour
Instructions
- Stew the tomatoes, water, salt, sugar, cloves, peppercorns, onion and parsley together for 10 minutes.
- Rub through sieve, return to fire, and thicken with butter and flour rubbed together and stirred in.
