Original Recipe Card

Ingredients
- 6 Large pickles
- 3 stalks Celery
- 3 slices or small whole onions Onion
- 1 quart Vinegar
- 1 cup Sugar
- 1/2 cup Water
- 1/3 cup Salt
Instructions
- Soak large 6" pickles in cold or ice water 5 hours.
- Cut lengthwise with peeling into about 5 pieces.
- Pack closely in jars with 3 stalks celery and 3 slices onion (or small whole onions).
- Drain juice after packing.
- Boil vinegar, sugar, water, and salt well.
- Pour over pickles and seal.
- Let stand 4 weeks.
