Original recipe card for Veal Loaf

Ingredients

  • 3 pounds Veal
  • 1/2 pound Fat Salt Pork
  • 1/4 (grated) Nutmeg
  • One Onion
  • 1 tablespoon Butter
  • 1/3 spoonful Cayenne Pepper
  • Three Eggs
  • 1/2 cup Milk

Instructions

  1. Chop the meat and onion very fine, mix all together, melting the butter and adding the eggs, well beaten, and the milk.
  2. Form into a loaf, sprinkle with fine dry bread crumbs and bake 2 1/2 hours.
