Original recipe card for Stuffed Heart

Ingredients

  • To fill Heart
  • A pinch Dressing
  • A pinch Salt
  • To dredge Pepper
  • To cook Flour
  • 1 tablespoon Boiling Water
  • Flour

Instructions

  1. Wash the heart and remove the arteries and veins.
  2. Stuff with dressing.
  3. Dredge with salt, pepper and flour and brown in bacon fat.
  4. Put in a kettle and cover with boiling water; boil 10 minutes, then turn the gas down and let it simmer slowly until done.
  5. Thicken with the flour.
