Original Recipe Card
Ingredients
- 2 Squares of Chocolate
- 1 Egg
- 1/2 Cupful Sugar
- 1 Cupful Milk
- 2 Cupfuls Flour
- 1 Tablespoonful Butter
- 2 Teaspoonfuls Baking Powder
- 1/2 Teaspoonful Vanilla Extract
- Hard Sauce
Instructions
- Cream the butter and sugar together, add the egg well beaten, the milk, flour, baking powder and vanilla extract, and the chocolate melted.
- Pour into a buttered mold, cover with buttered paper and steam steadily for two hours.
- Turn out, decorate with a star of whipped cream and serve with hard sauce.
