Original recipe card for German Apple Pudding

Ingredients

  • 1 Egg
  • 1 Cupful Milk
  • 1 Tablespoonful Melted Butter
  • 2 Teaspoonfuls Baking Powder
  • 2 Cupfuls Flour
  • To Taste Salt
  • 1/2 Cupful Brown Sugar
  • 1 Teaspoonful Powdered Cinnamon
  • Some Quartered Apples

Instructions

  1. Let the egg be beaten without separating, then add the milk, melted butter, flour, baking powder and salt, stir well and pour into a buttered, shallow pan.
  2. Press into the mixture the quartered apples, dust with the brown sugar and the cinnamon.
  3. Bake until the apples are tender.
  4. Serve with cream.
