Original recipe card for Bermuda Pudding

Ingredients

  • 2 Eggs
  • 1/2 Cupful Butter
  • 1 Cupful Flour
  • 1/2 Cupful Sugar
  • 1 Teaspoonful Baking Powder
  • 1 Tablespoonful Orange Marmalade or Raspberry Jam
  • A Sweet Sauce

Instructions

  1. Beat the butter and sugar until creamy, then add the eggs well beaten and beat again.
  2. Add the flour, baking powder and orange marmalade.
  3. Pour into a buttered mold, cover with a buttered paper and steam gently for two hours.
  4. Serve hot with a sweet sauce or with hot milk and sugar.
