Original recipe card for Baked Custard and Plain Custard

Ingredients

  • 1 quart Milk
  • Four Eggs
  • 3 tablespoons Sugar
  • To flavor Vanilla

Instructions

  1. Warm the milk, pour over eggs and sugar beaten together, add flavoring to suit.
  2. Fill small earthen cups or pudding dish.
  3. Stand in pan of warm water; bake in moderate oven till firm in the center.
