Original Recipe Card

Ingredients
- 1/2 gal Ripe persimmons
- 1 qt Milk
- 2 cups Sugar
- 2 cups Flour
- 2 teaspoons Baking powder
- 2 teaspoons Cinnamon
- 1 teaspoon Vanilla
- 4 Eggs
- 1/4 cup Butter
Instructions
- Put persimmons through sieve with milk.
- Add sugar, flour, baking powder, cinnamon, and vanilla.
- Add well-beaten eggs.
- Melt butter and rub pan with it, leaving a tablespoon of melted butter.
- Pour in batter.
- Bake in slow oven about an hour in pan of water.
