Original Recipe Card
Ingredients
- 2 squares Chocolate
- 1/2 cup Powdered Sugar
- 3/4 tablespoon Powdered Gelatine
- 3 tablespoons Boiling Water
- 1 cup Cream
- 3/4 cup Sugar
- 1 quart Whipping Cream
- 1 teaspoon Vanilla
Instructions
- Melt the chocolate, add the powdered sugar and add 1 cup of cream, gradually.
- Stir over the fire until it boils.
- Then add the gelatine dissolved in water, sugar and vanilla.
- Strain into bowl, set in ice water and stir until it thickens.
- Then fold in the remaining cream, whipped.
- Mold, and let it stand in the freezer in one part salt to two parts ice, for four hours.
