Original Recipe Card

Ingredients
- 4 cups Scalded Milk
- Five Eggs
- 1/2 cup Sugar
- 1/2 teaspoon Salt
- 1 teaspoon Vanilla
Instructions
- Carmelize the sugar in an omelet pan until it smokes but does not burn.
- Mix the milk and eggs and beat well together, add the salt, sugar and the extract.
- Place in custard cups and bake in a moderate oven.
