Original recipe card for Frozen Apple Sauce

Ingredients

  • Ten Apples
  • 1/2 cup Sugar
  • To cover Boiling Water
  • 2/3 cup Cider
  • 2 tablespoons Lemon Juice

Instructions

  1. Wipe, pare and cut the apples into quarters.
  2. Put them in a stewpan, sprinkle with the sugar and add enough boiling water to cover them.
  3. When the apples are cooked soft, the water should be nearly evaporated.
  4. Rub them through a sieve and add the cider and lemon juice.
  5. Freeze to a mush and serve.
