Ingredients

  • 4 Eggs
  • 1 Cupful Sugar
  • 1 Cupful Grated Apples
  • 1 Teaspoonful Baking Powder
  • 1 Cupful Sultana Raisins
  • 1 Teaspoonful Powdered Allspice
  • 1 Cupful Blanched and Chopped Almonds
  • 1 Teaspoonful Powdered Cinnamon
  • 2 Tablespoonfuls Chopped Citron Peel
  • 1/4 Teaspoonful Powdered Cloves
  • 3/4 Cupful Grated Rye Bread

Instructions

  1. Beat up the yolks of the eggs, add the sugar, apples, baking powder, raisins, almonds, citron peel, bread, spices and the whites of the eggs beaten to a stiff froth.
  2. Turn into a buttered baking-dish and bake in a moderate oven until set.
  3. Serve with cream and sugar.
