Original recipe card for Persimmon Pudding

Ingredients

  • 1 heaping cup Seeded persimmons
  • 1 cup Sugar
  • 1 cup Sour milk or buttermilk
  • 1 Egg
  • 3/4 cup Flour
  • 1 teaspoon Soda
  • 1 teaspoon Cinnamon
  • 1 teaspoon Allspice

Instructions

  1. Seed persimmons by putting through sieve and mashing.
  2. Then add sugar, 1 beaten egg, soda mixed in sour or buttermilk.
  3. Lift flour and spices, add to other.
  4. Put in buttered pan and bake slowly 30 minutes.
