Original Recipe Card

Ingredients
- 3 ounces Corn-starch
- 1 quart Milk
- 4 ounces Sugar
- A pinch Salt
- 1 teaspoon Vanilla Extract
- One Egg
Instructions
- Dissolve the corn-starch in some of the milk.
- Put into the remainder of the milk the sugar and the salt and heat to near boiling.
- Then add the mixed corn-starch, and boil, stirring briskly 4 minutes.
- Remove from the fire and beat in the egg and vanilla.
- Pour into moulds or cups to harden.
