Original recipe card for Red Cherry Pie

Ingredients

  • 1 can Colonel's Pride red pitted cherries
  • 1/2 cup juice
  • 1 cup sugar
  • 1 tablespoon corn starch
  • 1/8 teaspoon salt
  • 1 tablespoon butter

Instructions

  1. Blend together the sugar, corn starch, and salt.
  2. Pour over the cherries and stir until well coated.
  3. Pour into an unbaked crust; adjust a top crust.
  4. Bake in a hot oven (450°F) for fifteen minutes, then reduce oven temperature (350°F) and bake 20 minutes more.
