Original recipe card for Lemon Dainty Pudding

Ingredients

  • 3 tabs shortening
  • 1/8 tea salt
  • 3/4 cup sugar
  • 2 tabs flour
  • 2 egg yolks
  • 1 cello milk
  • 1 juice & rind of lemon
  • 2 egg whites

Instructions

  1. Mix shortening, salt, sugar, and flour.
  2. Add egg yolks, milk, lemon juice, and rind.
  3. Beat a little with egg beater to mix.
  4. Fold in egg whites.
  5. Pour into greased baking dish.
  6. Set in pan of water.
  7. Bake 45 min at 350°F until golden brown.
