Original Recipe Card

Ingredients
- 2 cups brown sugar
- 1 cup white sugar
- 1 cup lard
- 1 cup butter
- 4 eggs
- 1 cup nut meats
- 7 cups flour
- 2 teaspoons baking soda
- pinch salt
Instructions
- Beat yolks and whites separately.
- Knead and roll into long narrow rolls.
- Put on wax paper in cookie sheet, ice box or cool place overnight.
- In morning when convenient, slice thin and bake.
- Slice as you bake them, place far apart.
- 1/2 of recipe makes about 9 dozen cookies.
