Original recipe card for Italian Chestnut Cream

Ingredients

  • 1 quart Chestnuts
  • 3 tablespoons Powdered Sugar
  • 3 tablespoons Cream
  • 4 tablespoons Sherry Wine
  • 1 tablespoon Vanilla
  • a pinch Salt

Instructions

  1. Boil the chestnuts until quite tender and remove their skins.
  2. Mash together with the sugar, salt, cream, the vanilla and the wine.
  3. Press into a mold and turn out when cold.
  4. Fill the center with whipped cream and garnish with candied pineapple cut in slices.
