Original Recipe Card

Ingredients
- 1 cup flour
- 1 cup mashed potatoes
- 3/4 cup lard
- pinch salt
- 1 cup milk
- 1/2 cup sugar
- 2 well beaten eggs
- 1 cake compressed yeast
- 1/2 cup lukewarm water
Instructions
- Dissolve yeast in lukewarm water.
- Mix flour, lard, potatoes, sugar, and salt.
- Add eggs, then milk and yeast.
- Let rise two hours.
- Make soft dough and let rise again.
- Roll thin and spread with butter.
- Cut with small cutter.
