Original recipe card for Chocolate Icing

Ingredients

  • 1 Cup Sugar
  • 2 tablespoons Milk or Water
  • 1/2 teaspoon Vanilla
  • 1/2 square Chocolate

Instructions

  1. Boil until it drops thickly from the spoon.
  2. Then test it in cold water.
  3. If it forms a soft ball, set in cold water and stir until smooth and thick enough to spread.
  4. Put on before the cake is entirely cold, as it will spread better.
