Original Recipe Card

Ingredients
- 1 1/2 teaspoons Baking Powder
- 1 pint Flour
- 1/2 teaspoon Salt
- 2 tablespoons Butter
- 1 (beaten) Egg
- to mix Milk
- several Apples
- to taste Cinnamon
Instructions
- Mix and sift flour, powder, and salt.
- Rub in butter, add egg and milk to make a very thick batter.
- Spread one inch deep in greased shallow tin.
- Have ready several pared, cored and quartered apples.
- Press points into dough, sprinkle thickly with sugar mixed with cinnamon.
- Bake in hot oven.
