Original recipe card for Small Cream Cakes

Ingredients

  • 1 cup Hot Water
  • 1/3 cup Butter
  • three Eggs
  • 1 cup (heaping) Flour
  • 1/2 cup Sugar
  • one Egg
  • 3 teaspoons Flour
  • 1 cup Boiling Milk

Instructions

  1. Melt the butter in the hot water; while it boils, slowly stir in the flour until a smooth paste is made.
  2. Let it cool, while beating the eggs, then stir them into the paste.
  3. Bake in a hot oven for 25 minutes.
  4. FILLING: Beat the egg, add the sugar and the flour mixed.
  5. Stir in the boiling milk and cook until creamy.
