Ingredients

  • 1 cup Sugar
  • 3/4 cup Butter
  • 1 1/2 cups Flour
  • 1/2 cup Blackberry Jam
  • A pinch Salt
  • Three Eggs
  • 3 tablespoons Sour Cream
  • 1 teaspoon Cinnamon
  • 1/2 teaspoon Grated Nutmeg
  • 1 teaspoon Soda

Instructions

  1. Cream the butter and sugar, add the beaten yolks of the eggs, then the flour, cream and jam, the spices, etc., and lastly the whites of the eggs, beaten stiff.
  2. Bake in three layers; put together with white icing.
